Silverlit 1:12 RC Ducati continued...

Some more pics of the 1:12 Ducati...

Comparison with 1:5 Ducati by Thunder Tiger. Sorry, my 1:8's are in pieces at the moment, so no comparison with those for now, maybe later.

Some detail pics on the Silverlit bike. It looks awesome, decals are applied on cleanly. The bike looks like a model just sitting there. As you can see from the pictures, the rider has a lot of articulation. This is because the steering is done by the leaning of the rider, the front forks are not connected to any servos, but are free moving. This is the same concept as the Kyosho 1:8 bikes. Really neat how they managed to do this in a little bike. The rear wheel is belt driven. I haven't taken a look inside yet, so I don't know what motors and gears it's running.

The controller looks pretty nice, you can see the similarities it has with the designs of KO PROPO, particularly the EX-5. The feel is alright, both steering wheel and throttle trigger is pretty smooth. Adjustments include three profiles of acceleration curves and brakes, and the steering trim. The controller requires 4 AA's to operate. The bike uses a 4-cell 4.8V 1/2AAA pack (220mAH) and comes with a wall charger. Charging time is 30-45 minutes for about 10 minutes of runtime. Better look for some spare battery packs for more track time.

Now for some track time with the bike...stay tune...
